90-Day Cooldown

How It Works
Structured, Not Freeform
Ratings are numeric responses to specific questions. Users rate on dimensions like quality, communication, and value using a 1-5 scale. No written reviews or open-ended comments.
Minimum Threshold
Ratings are only displayed publicly after 5 or more responses. This prevents a single rating from defining a business's public profile. Owners can see individual ratings privately.
One Rating Per Period
You can only rate a specific business once every 90 days. This prevents manipulation and ensures ratings reflect genuine, separate experiences over time.
What Ratings Are Not
Clear boundaries help set appropriate expectations
Not recommendations
Ratings reflect individual experiences and do not constitute our recommendation of any business.
Not ranking factors
Ratings do not affect how businesses appear in search results. Search ordering is based on relevance and completeness.
Not verified experiences
We do not verify that raters actually used the business. Ratings are self-reported.
Not guarantees
A high rating does not guarantee you will have the same experience. A low rating does not mean you won't.
Your Responsibility
Ratings are one input among many when evaluating a business. We encourage you to do your own research, ask questions, and make decisions based on your own judgment and criteria.
