How Verification Works
Verification exists to create trust and clarity, not gatekeeping or monetization. It's a credibility signal, not a quality guarantee.
The business or brand always initiates verification. Churches never proactively verify listings. This preserves consent, accuracy, and relationship integrity.
Default state upon listing creation. No approval required. Clearly labeled as self-asserted.
What it means:
- Provides baseline inclusion
- Available immediately
- No added trust signal beyond self-assertion
Business selects a participating church and submits a request. Verification confirms relationship familiarity only.
What it means:
- Church confirms they know the person
- One church per listing
- No payment, priority, or ranking advantage
Available only after baseline thresholds are met: completed profile, verified identity, and time on platform.
What it means:
- Peers confirm familiarity, not quality
- Requires complete profile first
- Based on actual interactions
What Verification Does Not Mean
Clear boundaries protect everyone
No endorsement of quality, pricing, or workmanship
No endorsement of theology or politics
No guarantee of leads, traffic, or conversions
No protection from user choice or competition
No editorial featuring rights
No impact on outbound click fees (there are none)
Our Principles
What makes this system different
Never for Sale
Verification cannot be bought, sponsored, expedited, or bundled. No upsells, subscriptions, or paywalls tied to verification.
Relationship, Not Endorsement
Churches confirm familiarity—that they know the person. They don't vouch for quality, beliefs, or business practices.
Revocable Trust
If a church revokes verification, the badge is removed immediately. The listing remains live as Self Identified. No public explanation is shown.
Narrow Enforcement
Enforcement focuses only on trust and legality. Misrepresentation (like false "Made in USA" claims) can result in attribute removal or suspension.
The Mindset We Encourage
•Participate, don't perform.
•Request verification because the relationship exists, not to game ranking.
•Treat verification as a quiet trust marker, not a marketing claim.
•View Faithful Finds as shared infrastructure, not a lead vending machine.
